IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS POST THEM HERE!!! DON"T START A NEW THREAD PLEASE.
For those that are fans of overclocking. Here it is this is toast/flipz kernel hacked to work on my roms. This should flash over honeybun,kool-aid,and i think i tried and it works over option4.I would use the OC widget from the market its free and seems to me to work better then setcpu. As always make a nadroid back-up then flash threw recovery.Ill put together a little how to use the oc widget later.Enjoy.

OC download-
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download OC-kool-aid-boot.zip
For a idea of sum good settings go to page 2 post 14 rufflez has some good numbers that work great for me.
Its not my fault if you melt your phone.
Big thanks to gbhil for all the learning material.Big thanks to rufflez and flipfone for testing. Thanks to Toastcfh and flipzmode.

if you have problems booting or you get force close on phone calls, give this version of OC a try.
DarchHoneyOCv3.zip
Thanks goes to darchstar from xda for this and his hard work.

Download OC widget from market.
Don't open. Long press on any screen to add a widget, choose oc widget.
Press widget, select advanced settings, scroll down, make sure use your
frequencies is checked.
Then press detect freq.
Then press click to define. Choose anything from 245000-768000,don't
go above or below them. Make sure Auto start on boot is checked. Then
choose save.
Press on widget, set your min and max, press set to it.

Here's the ones i have checked under define.
245760,384000,480000,528000,585600,614000,614400,671600,690800,691200,710000,768000.

If you wanted to run regular instead of oc just choose 245min and
528max thats should be stock cpu settings.

Just incase someone has issues at 768, turn it down to 710.
Some phones will run 768 some won't.
Mine will run it but it runs smoother on 710.

Just an FYI.

Thanks for sharing that, every bit of info helps.

Search for oc widget doesn't find it in marketplace. I will continue trying.

I've been using Fresh-toast with Overclock for a few weeks now with no Ill effects on the phone. It doesn't over-heat and runs consistently smooth at 768. The only time it lags is when processes start eating up the CPU, which for me is 'system_server'.

*edited to clarify comment for Overclock use, not Fresh-Toast ROM*

So i followed the instructions and set all the defines the same as yours. My question is what does the min and the max represent when you set it? I set my min at 245760 and my max the 768000. But i am not exactly sure what they represent so don't know if changing my min all the way to 768000 would make a difference?

its in hz... 768000 = 768Mhz (stock theoretical max was 528). You want to give it a range, i leave mine between 614 and 768 for when its awake. You'll notice it bounces around in there. You also don't want it high when its asleep that it eats your battery alive, but not too low that it can't process an incoming phone call fast enough. Play around with it, see what you suits your needs.

Got it! i have been playing around with it already and it seems like it is much smoother at 710 (like someone said previusly then 768). Going to mess around with it some more and tell you guys the results

JKAP: if you set the phone to 768 as min and max then it would always run at 768mhz. i set mine at 410(?? something like that) as min and 786 as max. with it in the 200's it seemed to stay asleep for minutes after i unlocked the screen. by moving it up a bit that seemed to fix the issue.

rufflez: what do you have the sleep part set to?

245760 min
480000 max on sleep

614400 min
768000 max awake

There's also a scaling effect. You don't want to set the min and max too far away from each other, but also, not the same value.

ive seen the effects of too far. lol. phone acted like me 1st thing in the morning pre-coffee. then all of a sudden it acts like me after a double espresso woohoo!!

i started having problems with the phone FC on me during all incoming calls. any ideas?

Mine spazzed out temporarily on me yesterday. It hasn't given me problems today though. Could be a fluke, could be that I changed my slot index, could be that I ran google Maps and that was eating my processor alive.

it started when my min was around 2 something and my high was 69 something. not very extreme.

i set it back to normal and removed oc widget and it continued.

Ive been running oc for like a week off and on,i had the fc on phone calls one time i rebooted and changed my settings.I would try the ones rufflez has posted in post14 thats pretty much what i run and haven't had issues but that one time.
