Whenever I set my Droid x to 1.3ghz it freezes after a couple minutes of use. Any ideas why? Works at 1.2 just fine

What do you mean by phone stats? Sorry somewhat of a noob haha. I'm using set CPU and d2/dx overclock

I meant what version/ROM ur running. Well sounds like whatever kernel ur on it isnt accepting stats that high. if ur a self proclaimed noob then maybe quick clock advanced would be better as it safely sets OC parameters for u in a high speed, balanced or battery saving option for u so u dont kill anything aka ur phone.

Just a fyi. Some Droid x are known for not being able to overclock. If your ok at 1.2 than keep it there. Each phone has it's limits before it reboots like crazy. I keep at 1.2.

+1 if your getting reboots on a overclock, then your phone can't handle that setting ....that's just the way it is.

Ya, my droid seems to operate best at 1.1ghz. It will run at 1.2-1.5 but anytime I do something that uses heavy CPU it tends to restart. Like the others have said its different from phone to phone. 1.2 is pretty quick already and should give you enough of a performance boost. Day to day activities wont really be affected by overclocking as much as you would think.

I believe because I am modified, mine runs @1273max which is read by the device and the ROM as 1.3G.
So it all depends really on what you run and how you run it.
