Thank you. How much does it effect your battery tho? If you can tell that it's draining it then I don't want to have anything to do with that.

hard to say. I almost want to say better . there is an app called setcpu that controls how your overclocking will work thru profiles. so when phone is in sleep mode, it will only use 250. once on, it will jack it up to 710 ,and its no joke its fast.

I might have jumped ahead. overclocking on this rom is not functioning correctly . the rom is so fast you would think it was indeed overclocked. the Dev that made the rom thought it was as well and gave us instructions on how to do it. he's currently working on it and an update should be arriving soon.

does anyone know how to root from 2.1, i would like to overclock but am afraid that id have to rollback to 1.5... is there a different route?

if your on 2.1 OTA officially you can root via below methods.. Leakers are SOL right now:
