Overclocking

Used Wug's root tool kit.... rooted
Used several CPU overclocking tools like setcpu and their max out at 1200MHz
Doesn't Galexy Nexus come with a processer thats rated @1200 MHz stock
Utube showed setcpu going to 1400 MHz on a rooted one
Where's the overclock headroom?
Or is these a root kernel problem?

franco's kernel has a ceiling of 1350mhz. So I presume kernel, but I never looked at the CPU settings in AOKP before flashing the kernel, so I couldn't tell you what the stock AOKP options were.

You need a kernal to unlock its it potential. I'm running 1350 and undervolted.

Most roms come with stock kernel which is max 1.2. The one you saw running 1.4 is one that's had extra speed bumps to over clock. I'm on imoyesons 1.9.0 exp5 which goes up to a max 1.42.
