Hello my name is Mason. I was charging my phone last night and I woke up with my phone off and it was overheated. It actually burnt my hand when I tried to pick it up. The first thing I noticed was that my SD card didn't work. Now that it is later in the day I have noticed that my phone doesn't charge and the charge doesn't last long. If I can't figure it out I will be out of a phone for about two years until I can get a new one. Please someone help me.

Sounds like the battery may be shot. Is it the stock battery or a 3rd party battery?

What kind of phone do you have, and what wireless provider do you use? Is your phone still on warranty, or did you buy insurance? In any case, the first step would be for you to try a different battery, assuming you have a phone with a removable battery. If it's just the battery that's shot, then it's unlikely the phone is damaged.

Regarding the SD card, take it out of the phone and plug it into your computer to see if it still works. If it doesn't, then try re-formatting it. It's possible the SD card might have been fried as well, but that's also easily replaceable.
