Overheating from maps.

I am onto my third N5 with my last one just recently being replaced due to a faulty power button. It is still completely stock, not even rooted.

The last two days I have been driving with google maps, updates streaming to my bluetooth headset and my moto 360 connected, oh and it is charging. It gets so hot that it shuts itself down. I tired turning the screen off and it still happened. I have to hold it on the air conditioning to keep it cool.

Anyone seen this? Should I complain to google?

How is it if you don't have it charging?

Massive battery drain, charger was hardly keeping up. It still got hot though.

I had decent reception, but I would have been jumping towers as I was heading out of a small city.
