Overheating while using data

While I'm using mobile data (3G) my G2 overheats. Its Battery temperature usually is 38°C (100°F)
Is it normal?

Welcome to Android Central! 100 degrees F isn't all that hot for a device in operation. Is your signal strong? If the signal is weak, it might heat up more than usual, because the radio has to work a little harder.
