OWA problem with Chromebox

Logging in to the company Outlook Web Access (OWA) with Google Crome fails on a Samsung Chromebook with a "back button pressed" error message.
The IT guy suggested that this is due to a cookie that is "hiding" somewhere.
Tried so far:
- Browsing History and cookies cleared
- Reset Google Chrome
- Tried to log in to OWA in a "black" (incognito) Chrome window
- Tried to log in to OWA in a guest account
Unfortunately neither of these solved the problem.
I wonder if this is a known problem and what eventually can be done to cure this?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you ever been able to log in successfully on that device?

Does your company have a remote access option using something like Citrix?

Yes, it worked fine for years, just until some weeks ago.

No.

Another oddity: even after clearing the browser history and cookies Chrome still autocompletes based on the old URL's. So the browser history is still "hiding" somewhere.

That's probably why. The Samsung Series 3 Chromebook stopped getting updates back in March 2018. My guess is that it has to do with the Chromebook not having the most current Chrome OS version -- either because of some security modification that was recently introduced into Chrome OS, or because of some security modification for OWA on the server side. I would strongly recommend getting a newer Chromebook -- you'll doubtlessly find lots of great deals as we approach the holiday season.

Even though, the OWA issue occurred only some weeks ago. Strange!
But I agree, it might be good to get a new(er) Chromebox.
Thanks for your help!

Right, but remember that Chrome OS is now being updated about every 2 weeks now, so maybe something in the most recent couple of updates changed something crucial for OWA.
