Own note 5, thinking about getting the 8 inch tab s2 for textbooks

Hey guys I was hoping for some help. I own a Note 5 but for school I was hoping for something smallish for textbooks. I was reading that the actual screen size of the 8.0 was actually just 6.5 by 5 inches. Is that accurate? If so would you say that the difference for reading textbooks would be almost redundant size wise between the note 5 and galaxy tab s2 8.0 screen?

I agree, too close in size. I have the Note 5 and the tab S2 9.7 and find it easier to just use the N5 to read stuff, sorry I don't read text books anymore.

I own the note 5 and the 8 inch version of the S2 and I find it to be a perfect size. Yes, it is a smaller tablet but I like the convenience of it. It's about what you prefer, go to best buy and play around with the display models and go from there ;-)

I played around with the Tab S2 9.7 and found it too big. The 8 is the perfect size.

Yeah I woudnt want to use anything smaller than 10" (9.7, whatever) for textbooks, but that's just me... I'd never buy a smaller tablet cause, yeah, my phone is already just shy of 6"
