P10 lite not connecting to drone wifi

I’ve just got a HolyStone HS720e drone. I’m having trouble linking my Huawei p10lite to its WiFi signal. Sometimes it connects, sometimes won’t. On occasions the drone WiFi is not visible (or appears and disappears) on the phones WiFi list. I don’t have issues with other WiFi,
I have reset Network Settings, Reset the phone, turned WiFi off / on and also ‘forgot’ the drone signal, all to no avail.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something that I don’t know?
In answer to the reply - yes I have tried other devices. An iPad 2. An iPhone 6s Plus and two iPhone 11’s. The 6s plus has connected once but the others have not. I don’t have another android phone to try yet.
I have confirmed with HolyStone that all the phones are compatible with the drone.

Do you have another device you can test the drone with? It'd help to figure out if the problem is with the drone or with your phone.

Wow! Can you connect your phone to the drone. How? I'd also like to connect my phone to my drone.

Was there not an app to download? I know with my mavic 2 I have to download an app from the DJI store before I can do anything.
