P10 Plus unusable after unlock

I have been using the device for just over 1 day and have found that occasionally when unlocking the device with print recognition it becomes unusable. This has happened at least three times and is intermittent.

The sensor functions fine when it is in this state and recognizes side swiping to bring up running tasks however I am unable to open any apps or navigate on the device. The screen turns off when the power button is pressed however does not lock. A reboot resolves the issue (until the next time).

Just wondering what may be the cause and if other users are experiencing similar issues.

This looks like it might have resolved it.
Hasn't froze since i wiped the cache. Still hammering it to ensure it is resolved since it is a brand new device however. If there is a fault i need to know asap

Scratch that.

Cache partition wipe didn't resolve. Factory reset didn't resolve.

Replacement device ... didn't resolve.

If it's also happening on a replacement device, then it could be due to some app you typically install. Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? See my previous link for those steps.
