P20 pro and mirror share problem

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had the same problem and know of a way to fix it.

So when I plug my phone into my car USB, mirror share automatically comes on screen and it seems to be stuck on landscape mode yet it isn't actually connecting to my car and the screen on phone is frozen. I wanted to use Android auto but can't get out of the mirror share screen. And I don't have mirror share turned on it just picks it up itself.

It's probably a matter of the USB connection being designed for mp3 players (and it may charge the phone if you plug it in there) - just one folder with music (maybe in subfolders) in it. The USB port isn't expecting an Android phone, which doesn't look like that. (Even if you have a Music folder, it's in some structure like /storage/emulated/Music, so the radio won't find it.)

If the radio has Bluetooth, pair the car and the phone and use Bluetooth to connect the phone to the radio.

No it's not USB for music as my husband's iPhone works perfectly for Apple car play and i wanted to use the maps and that not just the bkuetooth.
