Pairing to car with another device

I recently upgraded from an S4 Mini to an S7. Overall I am pleased with the upgrade except for one thing. I have all of my music and audiobooks on a iPod and have no desire or interest in going through the effort to to migrate it my phone.

With my S4, I was able to pair both my phone and iPod to my car (2011 Mistubishi Outlander Sport with a Rockford Fosgate system). When I would get in my car, both my phone and ipod connected and I could listen to my ipod, take/make a call, and return to my listening with no issue.

I cannot get my S7 and existing ipod to both work in my car. Both are paired, but if the iPod is connected, the phone cannot connect and if the phone is connected the ipod cannot. As this was not an issue with my old phone, I know the car system has the capability to handle two devices (it actually will handle 4), but the S7 is just not playing nice with it.

Can anyone please help? I use both in the car regularly and feel safer when I can do it from my steerwheel controls and don't have to manipulate each device!

Check your car's BT Settings. For your phone, there should be an option to connect both Media Audio and Phone. Just select Phone and your iPod should be able to connect with the Media profile.
