password protect the gallery?

There is no way I know to add a password to access the gallery just use the pattern lock its your only option.

Yeah, i'd vote to not have anything on your phone pictures wise that might be horrible to view from someone else.

Stick the photos that you want to hide in a folder on the SD card. Create a file called .nomedia and place it in that folder. Done.

The photos won't be password protected but they won't show up automatically in the Gallery.

yeah, any folder name that starts with a "." will work. You have to use something like astro to browse to the directory to see the contents.

Download the app "protector" in the market (search protector) it allows you to protect particular apps in general by a passcode....

I have my gallery locked DOWN.

Get PhotoSuite from the Market.. it's great. You can keep the standard Gallery app for all the public photos, and hide the private ones. PhotoSuite enables you to display both.... password protected. enjoy

I hope you never loose your phone. If you find an app that locks the gallery make sure someone can't just take out the SD card mount it on a PC and literally see your goodies!

Best not to take a picture you don't want someone else to see.

You can either mount the sd card to your computer and create a folder with a "." in front of the name like .foldername or you can use a file manager like Astro to do it.

You can also download "App Lock" from the Market. You can PIN protect just about anything.

To protect the gallery, add "Gallery" and "Camera" to the list.
