Paste numbers in the dialer while on a call

When connecting to Webex and other conference calls, there is always an access code that should be keyed in. I noticed that the dialer does not provide an option to paste the number from the clipboard.
Is there any way to paste the number into the dial during a call?

Not if the dialer doesn't allow it. The dialer app has to be written to accept pasting. (In the stock Google dialer, if you long-press to the left of the backspace button [the X in the left-pointing arrow], you get a paste toast when let go.)

(You have to bring the dialpad up first, of course.)

My Galaxy Alpha did all of that ...but Galaxy S9 I can not paste from Skype or back or to another call or text etc.

Not good for multitasking forwarding info etc ...while talking
..I have VOLTE for great Data and Voice simultaneously but need to copy and paste from Clipboard ...

Have you tried Hangouts Dialer? I don't know if it will work, I've never tried pasting to it while on a call, but it's a different animal than most dialers.
