pc not recognizing my device

hi guys,

i recently tried connecting my phone to my laptop and got this msg "USB DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS DEVICE". i've tried resetting/reinstalling but nothing has worked. anybody have any suggestions?. thanks.

You've installed drivers, right?

Try a different USB port, sometimes it only like certain ones.
