People calling me don't hear the phone ringing! Huawei mate 20 lite

Can anyone help with this.
Even though my phone is ringing the people calling me don't hear a ring tone of any kind, it's as if it hasn't connected. I answer and it surprises them as they thought it wasn't working. This is not not just me but 4 of our users of these phones. Occasionally it rings, then stops, says missed call, then rings again and the person calling has done nothing. A quick reboot cures it for a while! But not for long, starts again shortly after. All phones are on o2.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! The ringback tone that callers hear while your phone is ringing is up to your carrier. Call O2 support and ask if there's a known issue. If O2 does have a custom ringback tone feature, ask the support team if it can be disabled.
