Percentage and time left for download missing after Chrome update.

Using Sprint LGV30 running Oreo 8.0.0. I had an update notice for Chrome. I downloaded the new version, and after the download, I noticed the change in the dropdown notification bar for the download status. It no longer had the percentage of download, nor the estimated time left for the download. It only showed the green filling grey bar across the screen and the title of the download. Is this something I can change back or did Chrome permanently change this. If i use Firefox, it is as it should be, so I don't think this is a phone or app setting. I have tried turning off and on the notifications in the download manager and have turned the phone off and on again.
