Periodic Freezing

Hi there,

Has anyone else been having to reset theirs once in a while (holding power and volume up)? It's not like it's happening all the time to me, but it's happening more than any other Android device.

Just kind of odd. Everything else has been great since I got it.

mine seems to be locking up after the last update.. it was perfect before. hopefully they get this ironed out

By chance are you touching the fingerprint reader when it freezes? This seems to be the most prominent cause of freezes/hangs with this update.

Nah, nothing with the fingerprint scanner. It happened again last night while playing a YouTube video. It just completely freezes out.

I'm basically banking on Oreo to save the day.

Again this isn't crippling, just annoying. It happened the first time while I was waiting to hop on a plane and needed to present my boarding pass. Just not a whole lot of fun.

mine is on the way..i hope i dont have this issue. Like you said though, oreo i would think will fix it. Actually i think the monthly security update has also brought bug fixes each time..but yeah hopefully the next one is 8.0

mine was running great until the last update. I disabled all the reporting inputs and fingerprint gestures. I am still encountering a lot of hiccups as of late.. multiple apps not responding. tried a reboot, cleared some memory. still at times sluggish.. hmmm

After the NMJ20D update, it looks like touching the FPR while trying to scroll will cause a pause regardless of the gesture being enabled or not. Make sure you aren't accidentally touching the FPR. I know it's a hassle but hopefully they get it fixed in the next OTA.

whatever they did today seemed to fix it... so far, so good. happy camper!
