Perkbox Chinese tablet slow response and low fps

Hi,

I bought this tablet from aliexpress.

1: MTK8752 Octa-Core, ARM Cortex A7@ 1.6—2.0GHz;
2: 4G Bytes LPDDR3
3: Built-in 64G Bytes NAND Flash storage
4: 10.1 inch IPS HD 1280*800 Resolution

The specs looks good with 4GB RAM and Octa-Core processor, but when I run applications on it, they get frozen, and response of scroll and displaying keyboard get slow.
Also the videos on VLC stuck and freezes but behind sound continue to play.

How can I speed up this tablet, any help please?

Welcome to Android Central! Those specs aren't great. Mediatek chips are typically slower than comparable Qualcomm or Samsung CPUs. On top of that, I wouldn't be surprised if the firmware for that off-brand direct-from-China device is poorly optimized and glitchy. I doubt there's much you can do to improve the performance.

The poor performance might be the result of Chinese software, but it's likely that Mediatek SOC isn't enough.

It may have 8 cores, but all 8 are low power cores based on the A7 design ARM announced back in 2011. I believe the MTK8752 was launched in 2015, it's not a very powerful SOC.

I thought so as well that the performance issue can't be resolved on this chipset.

What I have experienced is that when you boot it up, it starts slow for some minutes. But after using it a bit its behavior somewhat gets better. Don't know why?
