Personal Safety app

So the Pixel's Personal Safety app is now available for all Pixel devices with the June update, but you have to do some funky stuff to get it to work. Since it's taken me 5 days to figure it out, figured I'd post here in case anyone else has troubles:

1) Download app from Play Store
2) Go to Settings > About Phone
3) Tap Emergency Information
4) After adding emergency info, tap banner at the top of the screen asking to update the PS app

After you've updated the app, it will show on your home screen and in your app drawer just like any other app!

Interesting - I didn't have any difficulty setting it up on my Pixel 2 XL, it was just there after I first interacted with the emergency screen on the lock screen.

Yep, I had to do this on my 3 XL as well.
