Phantom touch tab 3

[AC Question]

Hi, i have a tab 3 that i recently replaced charging port as it stopped charging. Now the tablet is charging but its now doing phantom touches. I cant figure out why. I did notice the phantom touches stop when the tablet is plugged into the wall charger. Any ideas to try to fix it please? I noticed on some of my games now the lower left areaof the screen will only work on certain games and not others. This was not a problem until the charging port was changed. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Is this a Galaxy Tab 3? I've heard of phantom touches occurring while the device is charging -- it's a little odd that it would go away on your tablet when it's charging.

Can you bring the device back to the repair shop and ask them to look at it again? They might have disrupted a connection during the replacement of the port.

Yes its a galaxy tab 3. I changed the port myself but that was going to be my next choice to have it looked at. The phantom clicking stops when charger is plugged in but it doesnt have any affect on the lower left screen where it doesnt seem to work on all clicks now.

Since you replaced it yourself, you could first try opening it up again and checking all connections.
