Hey guys, I am new to the forums and currently using a GS3. My first android phone was a Thunderbolt I bought on its release date, haha. I have an upgrade to use and I?m looking for some advice as to which phone to buy. My main contenders right now are the G2, Droid Maxx, Moto X, and Note 3, but am open to any suggestions (I am on Verizon and not gonna switch)
Here are my priorities:
Battery life: 4/5 ? would be nice to be able to do whatever I want for a 16 hour day with full brightness without worrying
Screen: 4.5 ? like them bigger and brighter, but do a lot of one hand operation, but I have pretty big hands (I measured that my thumb can reach around 5.5 inches without really shifting position).
Performance: 4 ? Just want it to be smooth and open stuff quickly (hate waiting for messages and phone to open on my gs3); don?t care about gaming performance
Camera: 3.5 ? Like it to be fast and pretty (without having to play with settings), but am not a snob and any slight upgrade over my GS3 would be appreciated
Features: 3.5 ? don?t care about gimmicks; love playing with useful stuff
UI: 3.5 - I?m a little tired of TouchWiz on my GS3 and am too lazy to root my phone, but using a custom launcher is really good enough for me.
Durability: 3.5 - I sell my phones so always keep them in a case with a screen protector, but have gotten a little sick of cases and would like to stop using them if my phone is durable enough to take a couple of drops. (would also appreciate some resale value, but not a priority)
Feel in hand: 3.5 ? Would be nice, but I imagine most phones are good enough
Don?t care about on-screen vs. capacitive buttons and think MotoMaker is awesome (but am on Verizon and would have to wait)
THANKS SO MUCH!

The Note 3 is a beast! I really like the Moto X. It has better battery life and less bloatware. It's slick as hell too!

Welcome to the forums!
Lately I have been more interested in the Moto X as opposed to the Note 3.

Considering that your top priorities are battery and performance, I'd give the Maxx a good look. Monster battery, smooth performance with the X8 processor architecture, and Moto's trademark solid-as-a-tank build. Main complaint has been mediocre camera (which will likely be improved with an upcoming update, since the same is happening with the X), but you said camera isn't that important. Motoblur is pretty close to vanilla Android, so no elaborate skin to deal with.
