I upgraded from the Sprint Epic 4G Touch with JB 4.1. My phone app had a blue background and dark theme. Is there a way to change this bright white $h! t that Samsung has opted to go with? A dark theme and color also helps extend my battery life.

Same question on the default mail app. This changed with an update to the app itself at some point on my Epic 4G Touch. I don't remember how I changed the email app background color but I cannot find it in the settings which is where I thought I did it.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement to the stock email app that might allow this?

I second this request. I came from using a Note and loved the black background. The bright white theme is ridiculous, ugly and only costs more battery life. Please tell me there is a way to change this. Thanks in advance

I too am looking for a way on my new Galaxy S4 to have a black background on my Exchange email. The bright white is very hard to view and hard on the eyes. Please let me know if anyone knows of a way to switch to black background when using Exchange.

How about the calendar app? That color combination (brown and orange) makes me want to puke. I would give anything to find a way to change those colors.

also trying to find a way to change the white default background color in the stock email app on my S4 to another default color like I used to do on my old Droid 3... want it to stay like that as a default for every email.. doesn't look like it can be done

any info/help appreciated :)

Not sure it's possible to change the default background color of the mail app. To be honest I wished it looked more like the iOS mail app.
