Phone app does not sound or vibrate

Hi,

I've had this problem starting very recently. When I get an incoming phone call, my phone's screen shows the incoming call but does not ring or vibrate even though I have the ringtone settings for sound and vibrate. I'm fairly certain I did not mess with any settings to change this, and restarting the device does not fix it. I'm using just one of the standard factory ringtones. I do have a call blocking app, "Call Control", that I installed a few weeks ago and am not sure if that is related, as for most of the time I've used it I've not had this problem. (Related to that, if you have a better call blocking app please let me know, "Call Control" unnecessarily blocks texts messages.)

Also, is there a safe website, app, or other way to dial my own phone number so I can test solutions to the problem on my own?

I'm running Android version 4.1.1 on an HTC One X purchased about 1.5 years ago. I appreciate any help.

Have you tried uninstalling that call control app to see if the problem stops?
