phone app no longer loads?

While at work yesterday, I tried to make a call from my Inc2. When I pressed the Phone button on the home screen, a little box that said "phone" popped up, but didnt load the dialer.

After 6 resets/battery pulls, I gave up and did a factory reset.

Has anyone else encountered this, and is there an easier method to fix it without the reset?

I'm running the most up to date stock ROM, unrooted, full bloat, etc.

sounds like maybe a bad app caused you're issues. The last time I installed an app that didn't play nice it made half of my other Apps force close. A device wipe fix it again.

Yea maybe a third party app conflict. I had to factory reset twice when I was stock...but was good for about a month after the second reset. I didnt install any non matket apps after the second reset. I rooted after that when the gb root came out.

This happened to me too.. well a variation of it. Factory reset is the only fix I know of

happened to me too. factory reset.

then, today I got "force close" for the phone app repeatedly incessantly. had to factory reset again.

this has probably been said, but the Market probably needs to be a little more regulated.
