Phone app or truecaller

Its so confusing between the phone app and truecaller? Sometimes the truecaller takes time to show up just now missed call in the call history. Often times it opens the Samsung phone app to make the call and sometimes I lose that app and can't find ways to end call or add another call. Like iPhone we can't click on title bar (green flash when in Call) to get to phone app.

How are you guys handling this basic stuff of making a phone call on note 7?

I do press app switcher button and have to look for phone app and if I accident closed it then no way to brjng up phone app with any button or icon
