Went in to Verizon tonight, jammed pack waited over an hour and half. Mentioned to the guy that the previous day the girl suggested I had a bad sim card, cause I also had sim card errors ,so I had to reboot phone to get service. Any way, had him try new sim card , did not improve, It was too late to do an exchange at this point. He also suggested I do a factory reset when I got home, did, no better. So it looks like I'm headed back to do an exchange. I even called my wife on the demo in the store , 100 times better.
