Phone calls not in stereo with stock Beats headset?

Should my phone calls be in "stereo" (i.e., sound in both ears) with the stock Beats headset? I am only getting sound in the left ear on phone calls...

Stereo requires two microphones to record in, and I don't think there's a single phone ever made anywhere in the world with 2 microphones to talk into for stereo sound.

Yes, you should be getting a signal to both left and right ear buds. Is the cable firmly in the jack? If so, something is wrong.

I don't think s/he meant true stereo, hence the "stereo" in quotes, but rather mono but going to both channels.

I don't think I've used the buds on a phone call, I'll have to check it out tomorrow.
