Phone Closes Apps

I got a new phone, a Huawei Y5 lite. I tried to play a few games but over some, they suddenly stop. Even when using Opera browser to download something it stops, the unfinished download vanishes in the process. Cache clearing and factory reset doesn't work.

Need help. Please

Hi, welcome to Android Forums

You tried safe mode? Do you have any power saving modes on for battery?

Welcome to Android Central! Are these games installed from the Play Store, or from some other source? Does the phone get really warm right before the apps close?

The phone has only 1GB of RAM, and the operating system (Linux) and Android use some of that, so you probably don't have enough for anything large like most games.

Also, when you're finished using something, don't use the Home button and leave it running in RAM, use the Back button and stop it from running.

(It's a "2018" phone but with 2014 specs.)

Every kinda of game closes... Downloading in background works for like 5 minutes before it stops.

Even trying to use the keyboard makes some apps close.

If you mean that this doesn't happen in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the instability. Unfortunately, if you don't have preliminary suspicion of a particular app, then you'll have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

Perhaps one of the apps you reinstalled is the culprit. If you reset the phone, the best approach is to reinstall apps slowly, one by one, checking in between installations to see if the problem occurs. Or is that how you approached it?

Are you turning the screen off when your apps and downloads stop? Huawei really doesn't like background processes for battery saving reasons. Have you gone into your battery settings to see how your phone is dealing with apps running in the background?

I think this is the underlying issue, simply trying to fit 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lb bag. The only thing I can suggest is getting a phone with better specs. 3 GB minimum for RAM these days, but ideally 4+ GB for future proofing (I'm already having similar issues and I do have 4 GB of ram).

Edit: Try a 2018 phone with 2011 specs. I had a Droid Bionic, which had 1 GB of RAM and was released in 2011. It had almost the exact same issues as the OP once it got up in years and apps advanced.

I'll try again to see what's going on

I switch off data saver and battery saver when I downloading in background.

I reinstalled WhatsApp, Dragon Nest M, Uc Browser, Opera Browser, Rise of Kingdoms and Zepeto. And downloaded others like Mobile Legends, Lords Mobile, Crunchyroll, VLC for Android, ShareIt and Music Maker Jam. WhatsApp doesn't have a problem but all these keep closing on their own.

It's still not clear if you reinstalled all of these apps one by one slowly (checking in between each install to see if the problem comes back), or if you installed them all at once.
