Phone completely Dead - Won't re-start

Was using my Bionic. Everything was fine. Put it down for 10 minutes and now it won't power on. I have tried pulling the battery and the sim card (multiple times) but absolutely no response. No lights, nothing.

Is there anything that can be done?

Since you didn't mention it, I have to ask - what happens when you plug the phone in (to power, not to computer USB)? If the LED lights, that would mean that the battery was drained.

Tried all of that, including plugging it in. Completely dead. No lights. Nothing. Battery was at 90% before this happened.

Ok. I called Verizon and they said they would replace the phone. After I asked if there was anything we could try since I have a bunch of apps and just don't want to go through all of that, they had me try a forced reset and it worked!

I held down both volume buttons at the same time, then pushed the power button and let it go while still holding down the volume buttons. A text screen popped up and one of the options was to start normally. I picked that and it started up!

It seems to be working now. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Well, it went dead again today but this time it won't wake up even with the method given to me by Verizon previously. Guess it is a replacement phone for me.

Weird stuff. I kept the battery out for about an hour and it restarted!

What should I do. Get the new (refurbished) unit from Verizon and send this one back or keep this one?

If I send it back, how do I do a factory reset before I do so?

At this point I would say time to get a refurb. There is something messed up with that phone. You can factory reset the phone through:

Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Just went dead again while sitting on the charger, so now it is a no-brainer. Will get the refurb. Hopefully it won't keep happening with that unit.

i hawe samsung galaxy fit,and i also try this metod..and it dodn't work..i try to instal a new android after switching another android several times..and now only i can do with mobile,is connect it to pc via USB cable,and open my mobile in ODIN..but i can't instal recovery mode,because odin everytime stop at "setup connection"
