Phone Condition/Type Check

My wife is getting a BRAND NEW Transform to replace her 6th Palm Pre in less than a year. This replacement is FREE from Sprint and under the same contract. On her Pre, she was able to use a sequence of keys to tell whether or not the phone was refurbished. I am curious to know if the same can be done with the Transform or any other Samsung phone.

I myself have an Epic 4G and would like to test it out.

Thanks, cyorke. I knew of this one but was not sure if there was another. The Pre actually said Refurbished on the screen.
