phone continually sync'ing

My phone appears to be in constant sync mode since the last OTA update. The little sync icon is in the notification bar almost all the time. Battery life sucked before and still sucks now so I can't tell if it's made any difference. Anybody else seeing this behavior?

What specifically is trying to Sync? The stock email app? Facebook? Something else?

If email, is it one account that is problematic or more than one?

This happened to me (but not b/c of an OTA).

I went into my sync under settings and found the culprit was the google cal.
I stopped the sync and rebooted my phone then turned sync back on and it worked after that.
I also went into my google cal via my laptop and made sure everything looked okay.

I'm not sure why it happened and it hasn't happened since.

how can I tell what the culprit is?

not sure why but two of my google accounts have an exclamation point by the Google Picasa Web Albums sync ... I am going to toggle those off and see if the sync icon continually displays.

That should be Picasa, pretty annoying, but once you toggle it off, it'll go away.
