Phone Crashing Lately

My phone (almost 2 years old now) has been crashing a lot lately. It produces the dump state files, which I email to myself. Any recommendation on how to interpret the data in these files? I think I might try backing up all the data to an external thumbdrive, and then do a factor reset. Or is there a better way of cleaning up the phone? Thanks!

A couple of things you could try:

1. Wipe the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Wipe Cache Partition DROID RAZR HD RAZR MAXX HD by MOTOROLA | Verizon Wireless.

2. Boot into Safe Mode, which prevents all 3rd party apps from starting up. If the phone still crashes, then there's a problem with either the firmware or the hardware. A factory reset might help. Restart the Device in Safe Mode DROID RAZR HD RAZR MAXX HD by MOTOROLA | Verizon Wireless

Don't know what the story is..... Chrome, Maps, both, something, I don't know. Definitely something updated in recent weeks has left my phone unstable. I suspect it's Maps.
