So the problem started yesterday when I was on asop cm7, I was having an issue where when ever I got on a call, my screen would shutoff and I would be unable to open it to use the dialpad or hangup or anything. When the call ended the phone would just stay like this, and the only fix would be to remove the battery.

So I backed up my data, and moved back down to Bumblebee 2.3, but the problem followed me to this new rom.... :(
I did a reset from recovery, wiped caches, and ran the bumblebee wiper before I installed. Now not only is it still having the phone issue, but it randomly reboots while I'm playing on it. If i dont use it, it wont reboot, just sit there. Im soooo stumped. Im about to goto Harmonia 1.2 and test that out....

Anyone have any idea whats going on? :'(

your overclock is too high. a high overclock WILL cause this problem, and you may NOT always experience common issues with a high overclock, such as overheating, and lag. sometimes it just reboots.

if your are NOT overclocked. then your phone is most definately defective in some way. could be something as tiny as a pin loose on the CPU to motherboard connection, or a bad solder on some crucial part.

either way, its NOT normal. lower your overclock if you have one. and if not, return it to stock and get it replaced through virgin mobile, becuase no software will fix this problem

I thought it might be my overclock too, so I lowered it.... Lets see if this helps, still testing. The only thing about that is I have had my phone overclocked for the past couple weeks, without this problem. Maybe something will turn up :(

i lowered my overclock and that seems to fix the random reboot for now, but it still freezes with the screen off after a call and no screen during the call

Some phones cant overclock very high. thats why they lock the CPU at 600. thats the speed where they can have a good margin of producing quality CPUs.

its called "yield", the higher the yield the more phones they ship.

Once in awhile there is a dud cpu that barely works as is, but the majority work.

yours seems to be one that barely overclocks at all. It does suck, but no amount of tweaking android will fix it. with overclocking its mostly luck of getting a quality part.

good chance the additional heat of being overclocked for a few weeks quickly shortened the life of the CPU to a point where its starting to fail already.

its up to you what to do, but try running it at 600 max for a week and see if the problems persist. if they do, it means your phone is pretty much done for, if it can no longer function at STOCK speeds, its time to replace.

I dont think its a CPU error now, seeing as only the screen is affected and only during calls... it wont turn on after you answer a call. Everything works in the background and the call is still connected.

HAHAHA Fixed.... Im such a slowpoke! It was because my proximity sensor was covered by a new skin I put on and didn't realize it. lolzzzz pfffttt

oh my god. lol

hey at least the reboots were because your overclock was too high. found out one thing from this.
