Phone DIaler lagging??

ok i been expirencing that sometimes when im on the phone, my phone actually makes a totally seprate call to the person im talking to. or i also see that the phone app is really lagging now idk if this bvecause other apps maybe running but i do kno that its annoying anyone else expirencing this or have the soulution to this problem...

The dialer on my Eris is the only thing I hate about this phone. It lags, is too sensitive sometimes and doesn't respond other times. Drops audio and has major delays and echo at times. I use the Fast Call app to avoid dialing #'s but sometimes there's no way around it.
Thank goodness I only make a couple calls a day. It's really just a miniature laptop pc to me. If I did talk on the phone more I would have taken it back long ago because as a phone it sucks.
