Phone display stays on....

Grrr this is driving me mad lol. About 50% of the time my s23u display stays on. Usually happens when I'm charging or playing YouTube music and sometimes just random. I do have stay awake while looking at screen on but that shouldn't work if I'm not messing with phone. No I don't have keep screen on while charging on. I have screen timeout set to 30 seconds. I've tried doing 15 seconds and still does it. Turned phone off and on with no difference. Anyone have any ideas? Something keeping it on.

When you say don't have "keep screen on while charging" turned on, you mean the Developer Option?

Yes that's what I mean. I unlock developer option with every phone but never turn on keep screen on while charging. Hope I make sense. Just got unlucky and caught stupid covid lol.

It's also worth turning off Developer Options completely, in case that's somehow causing the glitch.

Lol I totally forgot to try safe mode. Thanks. I'll try it.
