Phone Doesn't Fit Case Right Anymore

After much difficulty, I finally found a case that I liked. A year later, now my phone jiggles a bit. And I don't know why. I don't want to get a new case. But if I don't, is the glass going to get scratched? Can I put something inside it like a paper or cloth to stop the slight movement?

Is your phone bent or the case stretched out? alittle microfibre cloth inside won't hurt... I'd suggest using something intended to clean eyeglasses.

But really, if it's the case I'd get a new one personally.

Probably poorly made case , can try some 2 sided 3M tape but for the cost u can get another case

Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty, Waterproof Mounting Foam Tape, 33ft Length, 0.39in Width, Strong Adhesive Tape for LED Strip Lights, Car, Home/Office Decor, Made of 3M VHB Tape https://a.co/d/0FYaMui

The battery's not swelling up, right? Does the back seem to bulge out? If you put the phone on a flat surface (without the case), can you spin it easily? If it spins freely, that would suggest the back is bulging out due to a swollen battery.

The phone is not bent. I have always kept it in the case since I got it. It's been very well taken care of. The battery shouldn't be damaged since I usually keep it out of the heat. I suspect the case got stretched since I dropped it a couple times. It cost a decent amount, so I doubt it was poorly made. And 99% of cases I see look so boring, ugly or leave the buttons exposed I would prefer not to get another one. I'll try some tape or cloth.

Batteries can fail on their own sometimes. It sounds like yours isn't swollen, but it's still worth a quick check, since you don't want to use a phone whose battery is starting to swell up.

As an aside, it would be useful, especially since phones can no longer be readily opened, if a method of automatically detecting that could be devised, so that the user could be warned.

The good ol' table spin test can sort of do that.;)

If you're worried about the screen getting damaged, scratched whatever, I recommend getting yourself a screen protector. My shockproof case is designed with the screen open to the elements so they provide a couple of tempered glass screen protectors made to fit my phone. Not only does it protect the screen from impact accidents but they don't scratch easily. So my screen always looks brand new.
Don't know what phone you have, but just search on Amazon and you can pick 'em up for a couple of quid (or bucks, euros whatever).
