My OnePlus 5T is running Oxygen OS 5.1.1 on Oreo 8.1. My phone sometimes doesn't get properly locked upon pressing the power button. Anyone can open it by just swiping up.

I have to tap on the lock button on the screen in order to properly lock it. What should I do to fix this issue? My phone doesn't have smart lock enabled at all.

Is it set to lock immediately, or after an interval?

I’m wondering whether Oxygen is causing trouble, but I’ll ask some geniuses whom I happen to know.

Any updates on your situation, OP? That is a unique yet bothersome glitch, to be sure.

No. I'm still facing this problem. I'll flash new official update from oneplus whenever they release it to fix my trouble. Right now it's in beta testing.

I've figured out a pattern in this issue. Whenever I'm at home, this phone not getting unlocked issue creeps up. Whenever I'm outside home, this problem goes away or occurs rarely. I cleared up location history in all of my synced Google accounts but still facing this trouble. What to do now?

But I've totally disabled smart lock. Moreover, my GPS is always switched off.

It can still get your location based on your WiFi network.

Try turning "smart" lock on, set your location as a safe space or whatever if it's not already there and reboot. Then turn the location unlock thing off before disabling"smart" lock

This method doesn't work. I wasn't getting any location setting in my smart lock settings despite turning on my GPS.

I switched it on, rebooted my phone and then switched it off using my trust agents setting.
