Phone gone rogue !

I have a ZTE-N817 w/ Kit Kat. More and more my phone is apparently deciding when and what I view, or not at all. I do search queries, go to what I'm looking for, open the page...and for a split second see the info...and the page disappears and goes back to the page before with the beginning search. Also, will be in the middle of performing one task or another and my browser or app will just close. Then there's the problem of searching for malware using Malwarebytes and almost immediately after it's installed and I open it to do a scan on my phone, I get an error saying it isn't responding and would I like to report and close it...all within 11 secs after trying to run it. Can you recommend a good antivirus program that also checks for malware and ransomware ? Any help would be appreciated.

Behavior like that doesn't necessarily mean the phone's infected with malware. It could be a software or hardware glitch causing the Back button to fire inappropriately. Does the problem persist in Safe Mode? How do I put my device in Safe Mode?
