So i have had the phone for two days now and yesterday and today, the phone has reset itself, both times at 745 am. how is that possible. Any ideas?

Mine hasn't reset at all...that I know of!

Maybe it's an app y'all are running that caused it?

Mine just reset itself and deleted all the hundreds of pictures I just took at a parade. It was in my pocket.. I like the phone but it looks like I am going back to the iPhone for now.. Just too many issues.

I think the phone over heats while in the pocket, mine reboots sometimes when it is in my pocket, and it shuts off completely other times and won't turn back on for a few minutes sometimes. I hate the thought of returning the phone, having to backup everything and reinstall it because you never get everything like you like it again without a lot of work. You also may get a refurbished phone too boot when you return your phone for warranty, but if it gets worse I will be swapping it out.

Android runs the linux kernel. When a device reboots itself automatically, it's caused by what's called a "kernel panic"

Kernel panic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tons of reasons why this can happen, most of the time it's probably due to overheating or a software issue.

In Windows, we call this same thing "Blue Screen of Death". When a BSOD happens, usually a memory dumb occurs and then an auto reboot happens.

Mine does the same thing occasionally. Always happens in my pocket. I thought that somehow I was inadvertently hitting the power button and the restart but then I realized that would have been pretty impressive. Restarting cause of heat makes sense.

I have this problem as well because the one x will reset if you hold down the power button for a few (5 ish) seconds. This seems to be a bad design because it is easy for the button to get depressed accidentally when sitting.
