Hi. I just got my new Nexus 6 yesterday. I'm on Verizon. When I got the phone, it updated to Android 5.1.1, but stopped updating after that. I see an update for 24 megabytes, but it says it won't download it on the cell network until after December 14th. Has anybody else seen this? For the record, I pulled the SIM and tried using my old phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot to get the update, but that didn't work either.

Something to consider, pull the Sim, factory data reset, and go thru the set up and wifi connection only. It should update all the way to 6.0 marshmallow. Put the Sim in and your golden.

Hi. So far, I've done the following. I remove the SIM card from the Nexus 6, rebooted it, and did a factory reset. Because Verizon Wireless is my internet provider, I used my Moto X is a hotspot to give the Nexus 6 access to Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, after the factory reset, even without a SIM card, the phone still told me the update wouldn't download except on Wi-Fi even though the phone was actually on a Wi-Fi connection.
