The phone idle category has been very high on mine and my wife's phone. Is this an issue or just simply a way that LG classifies something? Has anyone nailed down what exactly is in it?
For sure. I use my phone to connect to my Dexcom G5 (continuous glucose monitor, type 1 diabetic). I know it uses a lot of background battery that is probably being hidden somewhere since it's pinging through Bluetooth. I'm of the opinion that with quick charge and wireless charging, no reason to limit the smartness of my phone for an extra hour or two screen on time. I just connect everything and charge when i need to. Just was curious about the phone idle category. Thanks for the reply. This is just my opinion and a guess in general but I think phone idle is LG's way of grouping things like cell signal, standby etc. If so its going to match your up time. Its basically just showing how long the phone is up and running its normal background processes and how much battery its using by doing so. I personally wouldnt be concerned with it at all since it doesnt seem to be affecting things like SOT.
