Phone is plugged in says its charging but its not, why is it doing this?

Phone is plugged in says its charging but its not.

Also was plugged in over night off, said fully charged 100% but when I turned it on, it only had less than 30%. Just replaced the batt a week ago.

Something similar happened to a Galaxy Age I had some years ago. In my case it would say it was 100% charged, maybe only few minutes after plugin in, and, obviusly, after plugin it out, battery was exhausted only in a few minutes. Nothing solved the problem: I tried a new battery and Samsung Technical Service (which ended up saying that everything was correct!!!).
Sorry to say, but probably the charging circuit of the phone is broken.
