I just changed from a Galaxy S9 to a Galaxy S22+. It was virtually seamless.

Except for this... When I try to print a PDF, it comes out white text on a dark background.

I tried it with three PDFs. All three print the same way.

Using Quick share, I sent the same PDF to my S9, and printed it fine from there.

There are no "printer settings" in the Phone Settings that I can see, so I can't change anything there.

I downloaded "Brother iPrint and Scan" and have the same troubles.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, and with printing being an occasional pita, I'd rule it out first. Maybe reboot the printer too.
The setting to turn off on the S9 pictured below. I'm not sure where it is exactly on the new handset.
Good luck

Welcome to Android Central forums. While it sounds like it could be related to dark mode, dark mode should only effect the way things are displayed. Yes, of course, check it out and maybe try turning it off if you're using it.

To me however, the issue is, how is the app that is sending the image/document to print seeing it? If it is seeing it as a saved document, that saved file is not likely in negative, unless you did a screen capture or some other capture when it was being shown in dark mode. If no captures were made and this is the original doc, it would lead me to believe that app you're using is capturing the displayed image from your screen vs importing the actual doc for printing. For clarification, please describe your printing process. Include the steps you use, the app or apps you are using, and give us a basic start to finish, this is how I print this PDF.

We can guess but once you explain your process we will have a fuller understanding and be able to offer informed advice.
