Phone is waist pouch

How come when i go to put my phone in the belt pouch it auto car docks? why wont the screen just stay off?

The phone uses magnets to determine when it is in the multimedia dock and the car dock. The multimedia magnet is towards the middle of the phone and the car dock magnet is near the camera. Since I can't stand to have a holster with velco or snap closure. I bought one from best buy that had two magnets in it on either side. I removed one set of magnets and the remaining magnet still has plenty of power to keep the holster closed yet doesn't activate either dock.
