Phone keeps randomly shutting off

my phone keeps randomly shutting off! and its brand new! i was using facebook and it just shut off. then i had to hold down the power button to turn it back on. then 20 minutes later is would shut off by itself again during usage! i checked the battery and everything and everything is tightly in place. anyone know what the problem is??

its brand new and acting up? i would return in vs trying to diagnos and tell them you want a new one because you paid for a new phone that works

Usually you have 30 days,,,, but ok,,there is always a factory restore, or try to see what apps that you may have installed that are causing conflict... perhaps a 3rd party launcher lock widget. perhaps you have a task killer installed. try uninstalling apps you are not using or need. i find people download apps, find they are not good and just leave them, well sometimes those apps are coded poorly and cause conflict
