Phone locked and switched input settings

[Android Central Question]

My phone is locked. My password requires the keypad to pop up but the numerical keypad is the one showing. How do I switch from numerical to the alphabetical pad while the phone is still locked?

Did you setup a pin#?
Because that's what it sounds like it's asking for.
