Phone locking itself

I have an android A30 phone and when I am using it in some occasions entering any application, it starts to lock by itself, I put the password and it locks again and not only that but it also continues flashing for a lapse of 5-8 seconds locking and turning on the screen (it does not turn off the phone just the screen, it just locks and the screen turns off and on again until then it returns to normal for a while). I have been using this phone for 3 years.

Put the device in safe mode and monitor it if it does the same thing

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a case on? Or is there anything magnetic nearby? I ask this in case it could be inappropriately activating the smartcover sensor.

No. I have no case. And no, it usually happens to me at any time of the day, whether or not I am near magnetic devices.

Thanks. I'm gonna try it, do you know if it is recommended to factory reset it in these cases? It's kind of annoying that it locks and unlocks the screen out of nowhere and starts to have bugs.
