phone locking

Hi,

I'm using moto g5s plus and there is issue in screen locking. I've set up pattern and screen senser. When I press the power button to lock it, it doesn't lock. It just power off the screen. Now when I press the power button and swipe the screen, I should have be prompted to screen where I put in the pattern or asked for senser, instead, I am already inside the device as if I already put the pin in.

However, a Lock appeared on screen when I press power button to lock it, and if we manually press that lock it gives the message that 'Device will stay locked until you manually unlock it' and after pressing the lock phone asks for pattern or senser to unlock it?

Any suggestion??

Welcome to Android Central! There should be an "Automatically Lock" setting in the System Settings that allows you to choose how long the phone waits after the screen goes to sleep before it then locks the phone. Open your System Settings, tap the Search icon, and search for "Automatically."
